This talented trio is led by the incomparable Steve Sandberg, an acclaimed pianist and composer who has performed with some of the biggest names in the jazz world. With his signature sound and unparalleled musicianship, Sandberg promises to deliver a night of jazz that you won't forget.

Steve was the pianist, composer, and arranger for Mario Rivera's legendary "Salsa Refugee." Steve also performed with Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and Ruben Blades. A highlight for Steve was an appearance in Rio and São Paolo with João Gilberto in a duo with vocalist Bebel Gilberto.

Steve has been live-streaming regularly from Brooklyn's Soapbox Gallery throughout the pandemic, solo and collaborating with many noted NYC musicians. Soon, Steve will travel to Egypt to play concerts and present masterclasses.

In a trio setting with bassist Michael O'Brien (Ron Affif, Ari Hoenig, Dave Samuels), and drummer Tiago Michaelin (Eliane Elias, Esperanza Spalding, Chico Pinheiro), Steve will perform classical music compositions (Afro-Brazilian-Balkan-jazz pieces inspired by classical pieces by Ravel, Bach, Debussy), originals, and standards by Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, and Wayne Shorter.
