Rooted in jazz tradition but unwilling to be confined by it, his music moves effortlessly between composed structure and spontaneous discovery.
DownBeat’s Daniel Mergolis described his compositions as “sublimely multilayered,” with “propulsive sets of changes that invite improvisation.”
