About the event
Vocalist, lyricist, improviser, and composer Lora Sherrodd is a Philadelphia-based jazz artist
bringing fresh energy and contemporary storytelling to the tradition. Originally from Laramie,
Wyoming, Lora holds a B.A. in Music from the University of Wyoming and an M.M. in Jazz
Studies from Temple University. She is a two-time DownBeat Magazine Student Music Award
recipient, earning Outstanding Soloist honors in 2020 and 2021.
