Philadelphia’s  Sandy Eldred is bringing his electrifying talent to the stage at Vic's Jazz Loft with James Collins and Kevin Ripley. Â
This internationally acclaimed bassist, composer, producer, and music educator is known for his inventiveness and command across music genres, and now you have the chance to see him live.
Eldred is the mastermind behind the record label Each and Only and is a recording artist for Ukraine’s LabelWhoAble. Leading both the U.S.E. Trio and the Sandy Eldred Trio, he’s also an integral part of groups like Multi Mansions, the Bogdan Gumenyuk Quartet, and the Nick Lombardelli Quintet. His dynamic performances with the Michael Hudson-Casanova Sextet, Playlist, Combo Theory, and Norman David & The Eleventet have captivated audiences nationwide.
Eldred’s prowess on the bass has made him a fixture in Philadelphia’s top large ensembles, including Ian O’Beirne’s Slowbern, Jamal Jones’ Bureau of Sonic Wonderland, and Matt Gallagher’s Philly Big Band. He has also played with the Lars Halle Jazz Orchestra, the South Philly Big Band, and the legendary Bobby Zankel and the Warriors of the Wonderful Sound, sharing the stage with the late, great Muhal Richard Abrams.
A passionate educator, Eldred co-founded "Jazz Mission," inspiring young musicians in Ukraine, and curates Philadelphia’s "Creative Concepts in Jazz Series" and "Jazz Night at the Ukrainian League." When he’s not touring, he’s shaping the next generation of musicians from his Philadelphia studio and teaching at colleges and universities across the globe.
