Dan Wilkins performs newly arranged material, recorded in August 2026 with his quartet, featuring pianist Jon Ballantyne, bassist Sam Harris, and drummer Byron Landham. The album to be released in 2027 will be his fourth as a leader, which features Wilkins' imaginative stamp on well known standards and jazz standards from the likes of Cole Porter, Charlie Parker, and Thelonious Monk.
Wilkins' ensembles perform stateside in Pennsylvania and NYC at venues such as Smalls Jazz Club, Miller Symphony Hall, Deer Head Inn, Lafayette Bar and Chris' Jazz Cafe, and have been featured at music festivals such as COTA Jazz Festival, Musikfest, and the Clifford Brown Year Round. He also travels internationally frequently to perform and teach at jazz workshops accross the Czech Republic, Germany and Greece.
Wilkins is an active educator at Kutztown University, Moravian University, Lafayette College and Muhlenberg College. Students are encouraged to attend at a…
