About the event

Grammy-nominated jazz pianist, composer, and producer, Silvano Monasterios, performed, wrote, and recorded with an impressive mix of artists throughout his career. You can find his latest releases, "Unconditional" and "Partly Sunny," on Savant Records. Silvano performed and recorded with Larry Coryell, Dave Valentin, Nestor Torres, Paquito D'Rivera, the World Jazz All-Stars, Arturo Sandoval, Bobby Sanabria, and countless others.

Since moving to New York in2005, Morrie continued to perform throughout the US and Europe while recording and performing with Mike Stern, John Scofield, Adam Rogers, and other prominent musicians while composing and recording his highly acclaimed offering "Time Piece," featuring Adam Nussbaum, Gary Novak, Bob Sheppard. "Time Piece" was placed on the Jazz Billboard Charts and was selected as Top Ten Jazz Albums of the Year by Downbeat writers.  ​

Versatile house drummer Daniel Gonzalez developed his unique style performing with numerous musicians from Hawaii to St. Petersburg, Russia, and countless destinations in-between. As a versatile musician, he recorded and performed with Mark Murphy, Tom Harrel, Norbert Stachel, Nestor Torres, and numerous artists locally and abroad. Daniel also served in military bands while teaching and staying active in local music scenes.

Lola Kinks is the alter ego of L'Oréal Porçeia, a Philly-based DJ, healing practitioner, sexuality educator, licensed social worker, and artist. In alignment with her work as an educator and healer, her greatest passion as a musical artist resides in holding space for folks to learn, unite in joyful communion, and achieve healing through music and movement.

The 5th Annual Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival (JTIFF) is from April 21st through April 24th, 2022, at the beautiful Mauch Chunk Opera House in historic Jim Thorpe, PA.

The Gala will take place at the Stabin Museum.

The Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival channels the rebellious spirit of the Molly Maguires, welcoming the boldest, most defiant filmmakers to present their work, shatter convention, and incite spirited debate. Our credo is "eyes and minds wide open," and we mean it.

Originally from Brooklyn, Jocelyn O'Neil and Todd Morris, moved to Jim Thorpe in 2014 after the birth of their son. Jocelyn is an actress, writer, and producer whose films have been screened in festivals throughout the country. Todd is an award-winning Commercial Producer who's worked in the business for more than two decades. He's also written and directed two indie features, several shorts, and screened his work in dozens of film festivals around the globe
